In line with the initials of his
name, viz., “LSG”, which as an acronym stands for “Learning,
Sharing and Growing”, George believes in constantly challenging
his own self towards any new learning and believes in sharing the
same. George now, as Chairman & Prime Servant, heads 5E serpraise,
a company with the vision of “enriching everyone”. Before
this he was heading the Human Resources and Government Markets Functions
at 3M India Limited (earlier called Birla 3M) – a subsidiary
of 3M, Minnesota, an organization whose foundation stands on innovation
and growth comes from employee pride.

George holds a Bachelor’s
degree in Mathematics (1976), B.Tech. in Aeronautical Engineering(1979)
and M.Tech. in Aircraft Structures(1981). After which he pursued
a post-graduate course in Human Resources Management at XLRI, Jamshedpur
(1983) – in line with his passion for people development.
During his twenty years of experience, George worked with Multinational
as well as Indian companies including TVS Suzuki and Titan Watches
during their inception stages. George joined 3M in 1989 during the
formation of the company. In addition to heading HR function in
India, he was also responsible for guiding 3M Sri Lanka on their
HR issue. He has also visited the US, UK, Australia and few countries
in Asia to participate in various Human Resource conferences. He
had undertaken additional responsibility for increasing 3M products
offering to Government Markets during the last two years of his
tenure with 3M. He was also on the Board of Directors for PCI, another
subsidiary of 3M. He received an award on behalf of Birla 3M for
their “Innovative HR Practices” from the Centre for
Change Management, Mumbai.
As founder President, George was instrumental in setting up the
Compensation Club (Currently known as HR Association) at Bangalore
wherein today 21 leading multinational companies are members and
he currently serves as an Executive Committee Member. He is also
the past secretary of the National HRD Network, Bangalore Chapter
and member of National Institute of Personnel Management. He is
also a visiting faculty in many management institutes and resource
person for many corporate training programs.
